Abstract

RAMIREZ SANCHEZ, Sandra Lucía. Nunca fuimos posmodernos. Península [online]. 2010, vol.5, n.2, pp.145-161. ISSN 1870-5766.

In this paper I will analyze the philosophies of technology of Martin Heidegger and Bruno Latour, in order to gain a better understanding of the concept of 'nature' and illuminate ways we can rethink this notion. In the first section I will present what I have called the 'assumption of separation,' around which Latour articulates his critique of Heidegger. I will subsequently reconstruct the Heideggerian view of the nature of technology and discuss its similarities with the position of Latour, and conclude by presenting the place of nature in both their philosophies.

Keywords : relation nature-culture; natural resources; mediation; hybrid spaces; technique and technology.
