Abstract

RIVERO ESPINOSA, Erika. The Management of School Coexistence: an Approximation from Lines of Educational Policy in México. Península [online]. 2019, vol.14, n.2, pp.57-76.  Epub Nov 29, 2019. ISSN 1870-5766.

Managing school coexistence from lines of educational policy in Mexico is approached through comprehensive analysis of insertion of the coe xistence management category as an emerging field under construction. Current orientational, normative and administrative instruments are identified and analyzed through a documental analysis of coexistence management in the country and a distinction is made between con ceptualizations, strategies and actions proposed as structural elements of the education policy agenda. Challenges are found, related mainly to the existence of multiple objectives among different outlines and a lack of distinction among basic theoretical perspectives, which leads to difficulties in specifications regarding the means for its management. A line of opportunity related to a current state of transition between the focus on security and training is also perceived.

Keywords : Educational polity; school co-existence; management.
