Abstract

CRUZ GONZALEZ, Luis David. A comparative reflection of the behavior taken by the political actors in the presidential election Mexico 2006 and Venezuela 2013. Tla-melaua [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.42, pp.92-115. ISSN 2594-0716.

This research paper aims to compare the behavior of national and foreign political actors during and after the 2006 presidential elections in Mexico and the extraordinary presidential election in Venezuela in April of 2013. Both elections had a minimum difference of votes between the first and second place, so the losing parties challenged the election before their respective electoral courts as a complaint of electoral fraud, giving way to post-election political conflicts.

Keywords : Presidential election Mexico 2006 and Venezuela 2013; political actors and post-election political conflict.
