Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find the relevance of democracy as a mechanism for the election of gov- ernment. This could generates a positive image of political representation, that is always seen as the way in which the population expresses sovereignty, however, it conceals and allows a substantive distancing of the “represented”. This results in self and immediate supporter’s benefits, Under this premise, we check it show how specific government regimes and practices are created. An analysis of the situation of a Mexican subnational government, that of the state of Hidalgo, which is the same as the political ruling party. This political party has managed to combine traditional hard core and authoritarian elements with other models of government to maintain power in the entity.
