Abstract

This article objective is to reflect on the personal and collective daily life to be recognized in its spatial dimension. That being, the time and space of what can be consider ordinary. The essential territories are the creation of the commune. The commune shared among humans and non-humans; the commune that is share by materiality inhabited, and the sustenance for our dignified realization in time. One has to reflect on living spaces, spatial praxis. This is the way in which the Purépecha Community of Cherán (Mexico) has reorganized their life, their living space and government. This path implies to redesign the management of social life on the material and symbolic levels. The new design had been done after a violent process of terrible capitalist destruction. The struggle was against capitalism whose sole purpose is to enhance and continue economic power and domination in a communal territory.
