This paper reconstructs the process of transfer of property in the hacienda called Lombardía, whose surface nowadays coincides closely with the borders of Gabriel Zamora municipality (Michoacán, Mexico). The research pretends to clarify not only a local history case, but also with this example, the role played since XVIIIth century to XXth century by foreign families in the territory of Michoacan in relation with the control of country real estate, in this case by Spaniards, Germans and Italians, this last two groups minorities scarcely studied in the historiography of Michoacan.
