Abstract

The inexorable passage of time and the long duration of the Franco’s regime they provoked the progressive loss of good part of the political republican leaders not only of the protagonists of the Second Spanish Republic, but of those that, of one or other one it forms, were articulating politics and institutionally the Spain of the exile. Two of them, Diego Martínez Barrio and Indalecio Prieto Tuero —exiles specially linked with Mexico— the death surprised at the beginning of 1962, and beside dying also they have should to be buried in strange land. his way, in the present article the individual analyzes requiem that, like judgment and final judgment, the Spanish press of the moment distributed to these two important igures of the Spanish republicanism, doing a clear manifestation of propaganda legitimadora of the pro-Franco regime.
