This article is product of an investigation on the economic executorships of Carlos Lleras Restrepo government (1966-1970). his government stands out in the history of Colombia to have introduced an institutional reformation of wide proportions that it strengthened the bases of the State interventionist. his, added to a keynesian conception on the monetary and exchange handling, allowed an evident take of of the non traditional exporter sector and a growth of the GDP without antecedents in the national economy, particularly the industrial GDP. Other indicators as the inlation and the unemployment also showed favorable results that extended the following years. For the study, it was appealed to the identification o the main measures in the so much plentiful bibliography of primary sources as secondary. In general, the measures achieved an economic stability that allowed a growth sustained in the following years, when the “age of gold” of the capitalism it arrived at their end.
