Abstract

VALENCIA-HERVERTH, Raúl et al. Additional information on the avifauna of Hidalgo, Mexico. Huitzil [online]. 2012, vol.13, n.2, pp.95-103. ISSN 1870-7459.

We report five birds species not previously recorded in the state of Hidalgo: Crane Hawk (Geranospiza caerulescens), Purple Gallinule (Porphyrio martinica), Keel-billed Toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), Black-crowned Tityra (Tityra inquisitor) and Bobolink (Dolichonyx oryzivorus). Besides, we confirm the presence of the Anhinga (Anhinga anhinga), Scaled Antpitta (Grallaria guatimalensis) and American Dipper (Cinclus mexicanus), which were only recorded once in Hidalgo.
