Abstract

CONTRERAS SALINAS, Sylvia  and  RAMIREZ PAVELIC, Mónica. Is it Possible to Think of a Melancholic Pedagogy?. En-clav. pen [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.17, pp.157-175. ISSN 2594-1100.

This article attempts to express an analogical relationship between melancholy and pedagogy. For this purpose, two ideas are presented, the first, that pedagogy, like melancholy, is the result of a loss that is not mourned, observing in it the affliction caused by the inability to reign in everyday occurrences in education; the second proposes to think of it as the effect of a melancholic identification triggered by the disenchantment of a human becoming finite, vulnerable and contingent, questioned by transcendence. The reflection finishes with some tangible traces of melancholic pedagogy.

Keywords : Education; Existence; Occurrence; Vulnerability; Knowledge.
