We present numeric analysis of the insertion loss in the microwave switches designed using the p-i-n diodes. We analyze the characteristics of series resistance R_s, and junction capacitance C_j that are part of the equivalent circuit model of the p-i-n diodes. Also, we present necessary background for explanation of functioning of the p-i-n diodes and microwave switches.
