Abstract
TOUDERT, Djamel. Geographic remoteness and internet availability in the mexican schools. Nova scientia [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.17, pp.409-430. ISSN 2007-0705.
This assay focuses on examining the impact of isolation levels in the availability of Internet within specific contexts of analysis like the public or private support, the type and school level and the Mexican schools socioterritorial environments location. This exploration was done with data from the last census of schools, teachers and students of basic and special education and an additional set of contextual information that allowed us to develop a remoteness indicator with his structural and social integration components. Examination of the results obtained by the tests of independence and quantitative distribution of the analyzed aspects allowed us to corroborate, among others, the existence of a strong relationship between the availability of Internet and the remoteness factor.
