It is a descriptive study aimed to deepen knowledge of this market, based on Malinowski's approach, in order to identify supply areas, agricultural commodities produced and traded, production and marketing costs, actors involved, municipalities that supply, as well as factors influencing its development. Data on the activities were collected through structured interviews. Analysis of the area was conducted in autumn 2010 and spring 2011, in six municipalities ofthe state of Puebla: Huixcolotla, Los Reyes de Juarez, Zacapala, Cuapiaxtla, Ixcaquixtla and Quecholac. The following products were studied: tomato, zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce and carrots, from production to marketing, emphasizing their integration into the regional economy.
