Abstract

TEDESCO, Lorena  and  CRISTIANO, Gabriela. Agroindustrial Clusters in Argentina: Influence of Institutionalism and Social Capital. Trayectorias. Rev. de cienc. soc. de la Univ. Autónoma de Nuevo León [online]. 2017, vol.19, n.45, pp.37-56. ISSN 2007-1205.

The disarticulation of the value chains in Argentina is a generalized phenomenon as well as the absence of an institutional support fabric. But, nowadays, the emergence of agglomerations of companies that collaborate under a given institutional framework promotes and sustains its functioning. The objective of this paper is to identify agroindustrial clusters in Argentina based on the linkages measured in the Input Product Matrix and briefly describe the relationship between social capital and a suitable institutional framework with the strengthening of these value chains, both theoretically as empirical.

Keywords : Agroindustrial clusters; Argentina; Social capital; Institutions; Value chains.
