Abstract

VAZQUEZ AHUMADA, María Andrea. The relationship between positioning and problematization in the written production of postgraduate students. Diálogos sobre educ. Temas actuales en investig. educ. [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.19, 00013. ISSN 2007-2171.  https://doi.org/10.32870/dse.v0i19.500.

Problematization is a fundamental moment in research work, since it is closely linked to the development of objectives and ultimately to the construction of new knowledge based on the knowledge al-ready extant within the discipline in question. This paper suggests that a functional problematization is linked to the way in which novel researchers establish a dialogue with other voices within the discipline, how they adopt a position about the voices of the others, and the type of contrasts they make among previous data known about the subject.

Keywords : problematization; academic discourse; appraisal theory; monoglosia; heteroglossia; positioning.
