Abstract

IBARRA SOTO, Diana E.. Reflections on Distributive Justice and Gender Perspective. A Reply to "Distributive Justice, Poverty and Gender" by Paulette Dieterlen. Rev. filos.open insight [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.8, pp.61-76. ISSN 2395-8936.

The aim of this work is to comment the principal thesis of the article "Distributive Justice, Poverty and Gender" by Paulette Dieterlen. First, I will talk about de importance of making explicit and deconstructing many stereotypes that contribute with sexist discrimination. In second place, I will try to make emphasis on the importance of incorporating sexual differences -and not only gender specificities- in public policies. At last, I will talk about "agency", a very important aspect to promote for reverting the effect of discrimination against women.

Keywords : Agency; Gender; Poverty; Public Policies; Sex.
