Local erosion downstream of hydraulic structures can compromise their safety. In the case of works with ski jumps, there are fewer empirical studies and empirical formulas to estimate the maximum depth of erosion. Moreover, the uncertainties that still exist in this kind of phenomenon, leads to the need to analyze these problems through detailed experimental techniques. This paper presents an experimental study of local erosion occurs downstream of hydraulic structures low altitude with sky jump dissipator in a river gravels and finally the experimental results obtained with the empirical formulas of the prior art are compared.
