This OVERVIEW briefly outlines the history of the TRACE journal, sponsored by the Centro de Estudios Mexicanos y Centroamericanos (CEMCA, Mexico [Center of Mexican and Central American Studies]), previously known as Mission Archéologique et Ethnologique Française au Mexique (MAEFM, Mexico [French Archeological and Ethnological Mission in Mexico]). A BULLETIN is described as a publication where the investigations of the MAEFM archeologists were presented in 1978, which led to the creation of the TRACE journal.
