Abstract

GALVEZ-DIAZ, Víctor. Collaborative writing: A practice to build social representation in science learning. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.7, pp.70-92. ISSN 2007-2872.

This article describes the social representations of science, built among the students of three work teams, belonging to different schools of medium higher education, located in different states in Mexico and with a diversity of sociocultural characteristics. It analyses the elements that constitute the representation of science of each team, the manner in which the individual epistemological stances participate in its construction, as well as the norms or collaborative styles of each of the teams. In order to identify the representations of science, on an individual as well as team level, the alumni were asked to analyze and solve a problem related to the construction of scientific knowledge in collaboration.

Keywords : social respresentation; science teaching; epistemology; medium higher education.
