Abstract

Students criteria, perceptions and personality that determine the choice of a professional path business. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.19, pp.64-80. ISSN 2007-2872.

The objective of this analysis was to understand the criteria, perceptions and personality features related to choosing a professional path in business. By using a quantitative approach, a questionnaire was applied to determine the selection of criteria when choosing a career, as well as the selection of personality features associated to each academic degree. Through descriptive statistical techniques and factor analysis the outcome was that there is no such specific personality profile of student for every bachelor’s degree and the fact that they mainly choose a professional path in business out of external influence.
