This essay offers a brief analysis of the history of the University Reform movement, initiated at the University of Córdoba, Argentina, in 1918. It aims to study the academic roots of this movement and the causes of its projection in Latin America. It also includes a brief reflection on the current relevance of the reformist ideals.
