Abstract
FLORES-GARRIDO, Natalia and BARRETO-AVILA, Magali. Dating violence among students at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. A mixed analysis. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.26, pp.42-63. ISSN 2007-2872. https://doi.org/10.22201/iisue.20072872e.2018.26.290.
This article presents the results of a mixed-design research study that aims to analyze the level of incidence of dating violence among college students and how it affects their student experiences. For this purpose, the Survey on Violence in the Bride and Groom was used as a quantitative source, a replica of the National Survey on Violence in the Bride and Groom (Encuesta Nacional sobre la Violencia en relaciones de Noviazgo, ENVINOV), applied in a representative manner to students of the National School of Social Work (Escuela Nacional de Trabajo Social, ENTS). In -depth interviews with college students who survived dating violence were used as a qualitative source. Both approaches to the problem make it possible to create visibility for the way in which gender-based violence in intimate relationships affects female students and thus reinforces the system of gender inequalities in society.
