Abstract
MELO, Francisco-Ricardo Lins-Vieira de; MARTINS, Maria-Helena; BORGES, Maria-Leonor and GONCALVES, Teresa. The Voices of University Students with Disabilities in Public Higher Education Institutions in Brazil and Portugal (2008-2015). Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.28, pp.42-65. This study aims to analyze the scientific production of Brazil and Portugal on the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education. The methodology adopted consisted of the analysis of master’s dissertations and doctoral theses that address the voices and experiences of disabled students. The students’ voices reveal that, although increasingly inclusive practices are mentioned in both countries, these actions are still insufficient to guarantee their permanence and participation in university life. These indicators can help to guide the development of policies and practices that respond to the challenges of inclusion in higher education.
