A preliminary list of mammal species of shade coffee plantations in the Copalita River basin, Oaxaca, is presented. Fifty two species are here reported, representing seven orders and seventeen families. Twenty seven species are new records for the area. Five species listed by the Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010 are present.
