The paper presents a retrospective and reflective exercise on the theoretical and methodological approaches used by the author since 2009 and until today, for the study of amateur audiovisual production on Internet or home casting. Then, points for discussion and proposals are exposed, to contribute for the construction of more effective tools, necessary consensus and discussions regarding approaches that as communication researchers we are applying to phenomena occurring on the Internet.
