Abstract

SCHAFFHAUSER, Philippe. Los juegos de la regla: Wittgenstein y las ciencias sociales de la acción. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2012, n.4. ISSN 2007-4964.

With the decline of the great paradigms in social sciences and thereby the end of claim to find a theory that explain the social world in which we live, the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein has come to be a new handle or at least one resource among others to overcome this sense of loss. Among the several issues that touch the Viennese philosopher is the problem of the "follow-up of a rule". With a frankly pragmatist attitude, Wittgenstein wondered how follow rules, i.e. What is implying play rule? This problem is anchored by two sociological ends that are 1) obedience complete and absolute rule, as if to it we surrender our desire to become docile and submissive robots on one side and 2) anarchy against what makes the rule making a whim our follow-up on the other. Thus Wittgenstein problem much draught for socio-anthropological reflection extremely attentive to the understanding of problems so vintage and contemporary such as the foundations of social ties and dynamics through which they are expressed, they are, they recreate or they reinterpret. This article therefore seeks to enter into a dialogue with this unique philosopher with the ambition of extending the sociological gaze on the relationship between rule and action. The way that I intend to follow here is, for purposes of account, another way of questioning the flexibility and rigidity of the rule and the action, what Philippe De Lara (2005: 149) calls the ductility of the concepts: Although the rule prescribes, also allows you to amend and therefore change what dictates.

Keywords : Wittgenstein; “follow-up of a rule”; social sciences of action; pragmatism.
