Abstract

The aim of this article is to contribute to the social sciences, specifically political science, by recognizing political analysis as a methodological tool that facilitates the construction and development of this field. The objectives are to vindicate the value of political analysis and rescue key aspects that could serve as bases for reorienting its growth. The first section clarifies what political analysis consists in, its importance and functions, and its practitioners. The second part discusses various approaches to political analysis, while the third focuses on a typology of political analyses. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for a greater systematization of approaches to the conduction of political analysis.
