Abstract

JURADO-NUNEZ, Alma. Outsmarting multiple choice tests. Investigación educ. médica [online]. 2014, vol.3, n.10, pp.116-118. ISSN 2007-5057.

Assessments are key elements in the professional training. Multiple choice tests are the most frequently format chosen for evaluation, and thus, the one to which medical students are more exposed. There are common practices to solve a test; each individual adopts a particular way of doing it. Whichever the personal preference for its resolution, the article proposes some activities that could potentially optimize the students success by turning tests' flaws into arguments supporting the choice of a particular answer. In order to truly develop a competitive advantage, the strategy requires joining the student experience to the given recommendations.

Keywords : Multiple choice tests; medical students; solving strategy; Mexico.
