This work is carried out due to the excessive increase in child begging in Ecuador, and seeks to show what are the causes of this activity that has negative connotations, evidencing the impairment and violation of the rights of children who are subjected to this practice, demonstrating the lack of implementation of public policies or ordinances that contribute to eradicating child begging. The research is of a documentary and exploratory nature, obtaining results that palpate a reality where it is manifested that before the health crisis that began in 2019, there were 375,342 minors in a situation of child begging and that at present it has increased, a reality that is booming.
