This paper is part of a broader research project that aims to analyze and interpret processes of symbolic distinction around class inequalities in families of Gran Córdoba. This particular text deals with the labor dimensions to develop an analysis about lived senses in the processes of social structuring of inequalities. How unequal socio-labor conditions translate into significant differences in value and virtue among people? The analysis of this article starts from a series of empirical materials individually and collectively produced: 1) the statistical processing with multivariate techniques of the databases of the National Survey of the Social Structure of PISAC for the years 2014-2015 as a first “objective” approach to the positions of the social space from which the average profiles for qualitative field work were constructed, 2) the realization and qualitative analysis of 110 in-depth interviews. In the text, first I present the main conceptual tools: the notions of habitus of class and distinction Then I characterize the analytical construction of social classes in Argentina. Next, I present the main methodological and analytical guidelines of the study. Finally, I present an analysis of the meanings about class inequality mediated by the valuations and appraisals about the tasks and labor knowledge.
