The purpose of this paper is, first, to define very briefly what can be understood by Imaginaries and Social Representations and to point out their necessary articulation in sociological research. Secondly, to mention some of the ideas of the Actor-Network Theory (ant) that help link it with Imaginaries and social Representations. Thirdly, to show how the ant proposals clarify the relationship between symbolic constructs and the technological artifacts that flood our daily lives. Finally, and as an example, to show how technological imaginary has influenced the ways of relating and seeking emotional ties with others through dating applications.

Keywords : social imaginaries; social representations; actor-network theory; technological imaginary; sociality; dating applications.
