Abstract

Social representations investigate, unify and disseminate the meanings that carry images, values and ideas that are characteristic within a social environment where the acceptance and identification of a group of individuals is sought, who, by knowing, accepting and communicating them treat to obtain a better interpretation and knowledge of the context in which it takes place. That is why this research seeks to identify the social representations of narcoseries among those belonging to generation Y in central-western Mexico, for this, the central nucleus model method was used. As expected, in the results obtained and under a negative evaluation are weapons, violence and drugs, but nevertheless, the opinion of those surveyed takes the narco soap operas as something that they like under an entertainment scheme.
