Abstract

This article intends to identify and interpret the great significances of the Latin American revolutionary guerrillas of the seventies, considering that these meanings were decisive for them to be constituted and implanted as military political actors and to question, summon and constitute the guerrilla militancy and other sectors of the population who sympathized and supported his cause. Not so much attention is given to ideas, but to other meanings, such as dispositions, feelings and emotions and certain macro symbols and myths whose interpretation seems to better capture the meaning of the struggles of these organizations. It is an interpretation of the meanings of the guerrilla struggle, pointing very centrally to the will to make the armed revolution, the very action of fighting and the willingness to give one’s life in it, if necessary.
