In an interdisciplinary exercise, the objective is to look the history trough the cultural studies, and to read the cultural studies from the problematics that pertain specifically to history. In the first section, I wonder about the effects that culture has in history by analysing the way that “cultural history in Mexico” has incorporated the proposals from the cultural studies. In the second section, I ponder in a general scope, about the way that cultural studies conceive and work the history. I am convinced that in history, the cultural studies can enlighten those parts that the scientific legitimacy should have eliminate -the language, the representation, the narrative-, and that history can question cultural studies about the truth, the reality, the totality and the evidence.
