The objective is to analyze the discourses in national and regional media press releases published from 2013 to 2019 on access to health services for the farmworkers in Northwest Mexico. We recorded 2 373 notes in which we identified actors, institutions and programs aimed at this population; from these we took statements from representatives of social programs, health, unions and agricultural associations. We found that access to health services is materialized in actions of help, benefit and support limited in time and space. The analysis evidences the complex political-economic relationship that makes possible the development of the agrifood export market to the detriment of the rights of the farmworkers population, minimizing the relationship between work and the right to social security; welfare notions and strategies are strengthened, which enhance actions and make the omission of human labor rights invisible and this is silenced in the media.
