Abstract

FERNANDEZ CHRISTLIEB, Pablo. The psychosociety of mechanisms. Iztapalapa. Rev. cienc. soc. humanid. [online]. 2024, vol.45, n.96, pp.117-130.  Epub Mar 11, 2024. ISSN 2007-9176.  https://doi.org/10.28928/ri/962024/aot1/fernandezchristliebp.

This text argues that Society conceives social reality according to its resemblance to technical objects that Society itself has created. There is a sort of evolution from hand and utensils to tools, devices, machines and finally to postmechanical objects such as cellphones: each kind of mechanism, at each epoch, conforms the Weltanschauung through which Society thinks itself. So the conclusión is that thinking -human thougth- and technical objects are of the same nature and essence.

Keywords : Organic objects; Mechanical objects; Postmechanical objects; Social thought.
