Returned migrants face difficulties in labor reintegration; therefore, this research aimed to determine the influence of work experience on the entrepreneurial intention of migrant returnees from the United States in the municipality of Puebla, Mexico. This analysis was based on the Theory of Planned Behavior, considering entrepreneurial intention as the dependent variable and entrepreneurial intention as the independent variables: subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and behavioral attitude; as well as work experience. The methodology used had a quantitative approach of causal correlational type and non-experimental design. The results highlighted that the returned migrants surveyed show a positive attitude towards entrepreneurial intention, and it was demonstrated that work experience acquired in the United States is negatively related to entrepreneurship. A limitation of this research is its scope since the study was conducted in a specific geographic area; in addition, the type of return of the migrant is not differentiated, so its results should be taken with caution. The originality of this work lies in the use of the Theory of Planned Behavior to analyze the influence of work experience on the entrepreneurial intention of the returned migrant.
