Von Recklinghausens’s disease, or neurofibromatosis type 1, is a rare autosomal dominant disease which may present different gastrointestinal manifestations ranging from obstructive symptomatology to gastrointestinal bleeding. We report the case of a patient with recurrent episodes of gastrointestinal bleeding, weight loss and chronic liver disease in whom a gastrointestinal stromal tumor was diagnosed by enteroscopy.
