Abstract

ROMERO-LOZANIA, J. Alberto et al. Primary colorectal lymphoma in patient with ulcerative colitis treated with anti-tumornecrosis factor and cytomegalovirus infection. Endoscopia [online]. 2021, vol.33, n.3, pp.116-118.  Epub May 09, 2022. ISSN 2444-6483.  https://doi.org/10.24875/end.21000031.

Long-term use of anti-TNF therapy is increasingly common in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. This exposes patients to an increased risk of opportunistic infections and decreased immunosurveillance that prevents carcinogenesis. We present a case report of primary colorectal lymphoma associated with prolonged use of biological therapy and infection by cytomegalovirus.

Keywords : Primary colorectal lymphoma; Ulcerative colitis; Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
