Abstract

MURCIO-PEREZ, Enrique. Acute recurrent pancreatitis: approach and endoscopic treatment. Endoscopia [online]. 2022, vol.34, n.4, pp.111-116.  Epub Jan 30, 2024. ISSN 2444-6483.  https://doi.org/10.24875/end.23000016.

Acute recurrent pancreatitis refers to the occurrence of two or more episodes of acute pancreatitis. Acute and repeated inflammation of the pancreas can culminate in irreversible structural changes of the parenchyma, with the consequent loss of endocrine and exocrine function. It is therefore important that the endoscopist knows the approach and endoscopic treatment options, in order to influence the evolution of recurrent acute pancreatitis.

Keywords : Pancreatitis; Treatment; Endoscopy.
