Abstract

MURCIO-PEREZ, Enrique et al. Endoscopic ultrasound combined therapy with coil and cyanoacrylate guided in a fundic gastric varix. Endoscopia [online]. 2022, vol.34, n.4, pp.129-132.  Epub Jan 30, 2024. ISSN 2444-6483.  https://doi.org/10.24875/end.23000015.

Bleeding from gastric varices is usually more severe and fatal than esophageal variceal bleeding. Endoscopic ultrasound guided vascular therapy (TV-USE) has proven to be an effective and safe method with a low recurrence rate in the treatment of gastric variceal bleeding. We present the case of a patient with variceal bleeding caused by a 3 cm diameter gastric varix who received combined TV-USE with coil and cyanoacrylate. It is presented to illustrate the advantages of combined TV-USE.
