Abstract

GOMEZ BANUELOS, Pamela  and  PENA GONZALEZ, Rodrigo. Trust at Stake: Mexican Military in the Public Opinion of Transition. Rev. mex. opinión pública [online]. 2013, n.15, pp.31-43.  Epub Aug 06, 2021. ISSN 2448-4911.

Traditionally, the Mexican Army is appreciated and respected as a legacy of the Mexican Revolution. The political transition in Mexico, but especially the drug war waged by Felipe Calderon, forced the Mexican Armed Forces to leave the quarters and exhibit their actions to the public. This situation would entail a change in the way they are perceived. This article analyzes the changes of the public opinion towards the Mexican Armed Forces.

Keywords : Mexican Armed Forces; México; Public Opinion; Mexican revolution; Political Transition; Security.
