Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the dissemination of Fake News within the framework of the risk communication strategy implemented during the covid-19 pandemic by the government in Argentina. The methodology used was the qualitative analysis, content analysis with complement of quantitative data of the notes published throughout 2020 on the platform Confiar of the Secretaría de Medios y Comunicación Pública, developed by the Agencia Nacional de Noticias Télam. The results show a large incidence of contentions on treatments not recognized by science, followed by conspiracy theories; both are striking features of an Infodemic.
