Abstract

LUGO PEREA, Leyson Jimmy  and  RODRIGUEZ RODRIGUEZ, Luz Helena. The agroecosystem: Object of study of agroecology or ecologized agronomy? Annotations for an epistemic tension. Inter disciplina [online]. 2018, vol.6, n.14, pp.89-112.  Epub Feb 15, 2021. ISSN 2448-5705.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ceiich.24485705e.2018.14.63382.

In the current study we intend to discuss the epistemic tension of the agroecology as a science. For that, we show two different perspectives of agroecology; one of them is permeated by the modern west rationality, in which the epistemological statute provides a better matching for adopting ecological principles, we call it ecologized agronomy. The other one transcends the modern paradigm by being supported on a inter epistemic statute, that makes us reflect on how the agroecological tradition has misunderstood between agroecology and ecologized agronomy as a science. We also think the tension between the two “epistemes” leads to analyze the conception of agroecosystem, and at the same time, to question in which of these two epistemological trends it is articulated as the object of study. Finally, we pretend to propose the interepistemic agroecology as the science in charge of studying the agricultural worlds.

Keywords : agroecology; agroecosystem; ecologized agronomy; agricultural worlds.
