RODRIGO MARTIN, Isabel; NUNEZ GOMEZ, Patricia  and  RODRIGO MARTIN, Luis. Education as a tool for social change: education in values and gender based violence. Inter disciplina [online]. 2019, vol.7, n.17, pp.99-118.  Epub Dec 11, 2020. ISSN 2448-5705.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ceiich.24485705e.2019.17.67526.

Experience clearly shows that to prevent situations of violence is not enough to offer theoretical information on the phenomenon. The complexity of the problem makes it nec- essary, from school settings, will enable learning to live together and interact from the values of equality, autonomy and respect.

This reason leads us to propose an educational project to address gender-based violence entitled “The value does not distinguish gender”, whose main purpose is the prevention of gender violence, inclusion and visibility of women and the recognition of identities different to break down stereotypes and roles against all forms of discrimination to ensure equal opportunities between men and women, which requires teaching and learning to listen and recognize emotions and resolve conflicts peacefully and without violence.
