Abstract

PEREZ-SANTILLAN, Lesbia. Economic structure, exports and added value in Mexico. Anál. econ. [online]. 2022, vol.37, n.95, pp.47-67.  Epub Aug 01, 2022. ISSN 2448-6655.  https://doi.org/10.24275/uam/azc/dcsh/ae/2022v37n95/perez.

In this document, the analysis of the key sectors of the Mexican economy is complemented by pure linkages, which measure the degree of linkage controlled by the size of the sector. In addition, external value added of exports is considered to examine the relevance of the main sectors of activity in Mexico. For the estimates, the input-output matrices of the OECD from 2005 to 2015 are used, disaggregated into 36 sectors. The indicators presented allow generating an overview of the main sectors in the Mexican economy due to their internal impact and characteristics of their presence in international trade.

Keywords : input-output analysis; pure linkages; manufacturing exports; Mexico.
