MORALES REYES, Gerardo. Optimization of production costs through operational efficiency indicators for the oil industry. Investig. adm. [online]. 2008, vol.37, n.101, pp.77-89. Epub May 06, 2024. ISSN 2448-7678.
At the moment, the oil production of the Country this falling and the operation costs have not changed ace the production has evolved, reason why they plows required to carry out urgently, initiatives of reduction of costs. As first step to achieve this initiative of improvement a system was developed to quantify and to optimize the unitary costs of production of raw in each process, from their extraction of the location until their export or shipment to the National System of Refinement. Until before this work, he/she didn't have any tool like support to analyze the system of production costs and to identify the most expensive operations and the less efficient processes. This system was created by specialists of the area of economy of the Mexican Institute of the Petroleum and combined with the application of technical of decisions analysis it was possible to develop an effective methodology to identify opportunity areas for optimization of operations and reduction of costs. With the application of the methodology that will be described in this work they were possible to generate initiatives whose economic benefits can end up overcoming the 30 million annual pesos in the areas in which the application was developed.
