Abstract

HERNANDEZ HERRERA, Claudia Alejandra. Motivation ando job satisfaction of teachers at two institutions of higher educaton media. Investig. adm. [online]. 2011, vol.40, n.108, pp.69-80. ISSN 2448-7678.

This paper presents the results of a comparative study that explores motivation and satisfaction in the context of an environment job of two Mexican Public High School located in Mexico City metropolitan area. Data were collected through a questionnaire applied to teachers of two schools, one of them was CECyT - IPN and the other one was CETIS.

This paper discusses the results of the job motivators and job environment factors based on the Frederick Herzberg (1968) and Peiró & Prieto (2002) theories. It was found that in both schools, the drivers of the job´s content had a bigger influence over teacher´s job motivation and job satisfaction, than their job environment factors.
