Abstract

Objective:

To carry out a descriptive analysis of cyberdependence, associated behaviors in individuals and influence on competitiveness to propose a comprehensive theoretical model.

Method:

Guided literature review in Spanish with four questions. Two types of analysis were used: a) descriptive statistics and b) one-dimensional analysis on the frequency of words. 109 works were located, of which 54 were finally worked on.

Results:

Cyberdependence is a phenomenon of increasing attraction, due to its implications and effects, among Spanish-speaking researchers.

Findings:

Highlights that the most studied population in this regard are students, leaving out the impacts of silent pathologies in company workers, influencing their competitiveness and growth.

Originality:

Propose a model on the phenomenon.

Limitations:

It focused on works published in Spanish and only between 2008 and 2021.
