This paper depicts the trajectory of Pedro Valtierra's first 25 years (1975-2000) as a photojournalist. Pedro Valtierra is considered one of the most prominent Mexican photojournalist of the late 20th century. During the 1970s and 1980s, he captured Mexican and Latin American important events, as well as diverse happenings of the everyday life in Mexico City. So, this article portrays a journey from a historical perspective, framing his career within a specific historical, social, cultural, and generational context.
